On November 24th we as a family celebrated our first Thanksgiving in the United States. It marks a time of family celebration and festivity where families and friends travel from afar to spend time together. What I enjoyd most about Thanksgiving, was the noticable absence of over-commercialization even the stores are closed. Rather the emphasis is on gratitude, espeacilly towards God. Expressing gratitude for family, friends and His gracious provision during the year. The day is celebrated by lots of talking and other good things like roasted turkey, smoked ham, egg nog and pumpkin pie.
