BLESSING FROM THE LORD

On June 7th, the LORD blessed our family with the addition of Olivia Jane Van Straaten weighing in at 5 lbs. 14 oz. Our dedicated obstetrician decided to deliver her by C-section at 6:08 p.m. Both Marietjie and Olivia are doing well while and were receiving superb care and treatment from the staff at Glendale Adventist Hospital. It was about twenty minutes, after the delivery that Olivia was breathing very shallow and was a cause for alarm. For about a half a minute, which felt like an eternity, I was helplessly observing the team working on her. All I could do was to turn to the God of the Heavens in a prayerful reading of His word such as Psalm 19.
