We went to Tahoe this past winter. It is this huge lake on the border of California and Nevada. It is breath taking! The snow was a wonderful experience and Olivia’s first comment, when she saw the snow, summed it up. She said: “Wow Mom, look how white it is! Wow! How does God make it so sparkly? Wow Mom God is SO amazing!”
We went skiing and believe me, you all wish that you could’ve been there to watch us in the comedy show “One The Slopes” featured by the Van Straaten’s in there 1980’s ski outfits!
It was hilarious!!! Anton is a great skier…..the rest of his family, not so much. Naomi got it right away! We were looking for her, to find her going up the ski lift by herself! Olivia cried the WHOLE time and hmmm me, well you all know that I am not the most athletic person out there. We never the less had a great time and made memories for life!
Who said you can not have ice-cream when it is snowing?!?!?!?
Sledding was just AWESOME! We had SO much fun!
One of Olivia’s favorite things to do is building houses. And that was her favorite thing of the snow, ours was that it did not get her dirty like her regular choice of medium…dirt!
We are SO thankful to the Lord for providing for us to have such a great time together!

I so enjoyed your blog updates, thanks. I have to agree with Olivia, the snow is beautiful, and I still haven't been in snow. It looks cold though, judging by those thick jackets of yours :-)
